What is the difference between a Bookkeeper, Accountant and CPA.

Bookkeeper

A bookkeeper does the day to day entries for your business. They can handle your Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) as well as bank reconciliations.

Accountant

An Accountant can do all of your bookkeeping needs as well as your financial statements and analysis of how your business is doing.

CPA

While a CPA is an accountant not all accountants are CPA. CPA can do all of the above but primarily focus on your businesses Taxes and how to minimize what you pay in to the IRS.
